Yeah I don't see this going anywhere near $200M anymore unless they bring something really fresh to the table. It would have been 5 years since the first movie by the time this comes out and Lego Batman/Ninjago have seriously diluted the brand.

Kind of meh, but I like the tag line.

Isn't this going to be a big disaster and fall like a boulder from the first? They've basically done already what Star Wars is beginning to do ... rounding off the edges of the brand by releasing spin-offs in-between the main movies. I see no way this reaches $200m bar a miracle in marketing.

Downward decline is atrocious and I don't think any The Lego Movie sequels make up a strong core franchise immune to the novelty factor wearing off.

I'll go with $125m.

Yeah unfortunately this will continue the franchise's downward trend. Well it won't gross less than Ninjago obviously but Batman numbers are probably the high end.

It's a shame they went the spinoff path so early even though I prefer Lego Batman to the first Lego movie. Ninjago is also decent.

With how long these things take to make, I honestly don't think they had much choice. I don't think anyone would've cared if they had 5 years of nothing then a sequel comes out. I guess not everything can last decades. This was just a short-term thing, and they've made some big money out of the novelty. So they did well.

The first one was fresh but then they when and shot their load with Batman and Ninjago. Neither should have been made.

This won't do well and deservedly so.
