Wow, my prediction for Kung Fu Hustle was just about perfect (7.3 million). Too bad I never take place in those box-office derbies (i don't like predicting all the moves, just the openers).

Except HAMILTON actually looked like it would do really well and be a sleeper hit, unlike this movie .

That's a pretty impressive drop for Amityville, it might just pass 60 million. Interpreter did pretty good.
Kung Fu Hustle did decent, I hope it has great legs.

AMITYVILLE will definitely pass 60 Million.

That's funny how KING'S RANSOM's per-screen average is the same as its theater count .

Great hold for The Amityville Horror! Who would have thought that a horror movie that dropped last Saturday would drop under 40%? This movie will definitely pass $60 million now.

The Interpreter's opening is great. A Lot Like Love did okay. Kung Fu Hustle did decent. King's Ransom did crapola.

"A Lot Like Love" budget is $30 million.

Therefore, its opening isn't good.

(Ashton Kutcher isn't a superstar in oversea markets.)

That's pretty good for The Interpreter.

I think the winner of the week is AmityVille Horror. A 40% drop!!!!! WOW

Kung Fu Hustle did decent.
Overall, I think this year movies are having much better holds.

Wow... fairly poor reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, dropped last Saturday, ... horror movie!... and it still dropped below 40%? Pretty darn good.

Nice for The Interpreter. Everything else new is either mediocre or poor. King's Ransom, I laugh at thee.

Too decent for KFH. I looked at the daily grosses, and it's predicted it'll drop -17% today from yesterday that rose 15% from two days ago.

Which is possible, if you check the first weekend's data. I think the actual will show a little more increase on Saturday, 17-19%, and a 20-23% drop on Sunday.

On the other hand, King's Ransom's Sunday projection seems to be too good.

Fantastic for AMITYVILLE HORROR....WOM is obviously amazing. It is pretty good here in the UK too!

Thank god, i knew it was more than just a $50M horror, it's a bigger hit! :) $60M here we come! W00T!

has anyone checked out the outrageously large sunday drop that is being prjected for Sin City.

Fantastic for Amityville!!! =D>

(although i believe it's being overestimated by a little, don't think it'll drop just 30% on sunday)

On the side note, look at that drop for House of D. It looks like it is getting poor Word of Mouth despite a promising first weekend. Poor David.
