Well I never saw the first one, I heard it wasn't half as good as the movie it ripped off (Belly), and my older brother said that the sequel was pretty damn bad too. It's movies like these that give people the stereotype images that they do of us black teenagers, and if it doesn't even try and show that we can be better/are better then that, what's the point? Ah well, I doubt this'll make much anything.

WHY of all movies is Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous still showing on two screens? Is Sandra Bullock the manager of your theatre?

I was wondering this same thing. 1 screen for Sin City, Fever Pitch, Sahara, and The Amityville Horror, but two for that?!

The booker must be on crack.

I'm actually decent friends with the manager, and he says that genre films normally get the shaft at our theatre because the demographics of our city (a lot of old, white people and upper-middle class families with youg kids) don't mesh well the demographics of genre films. Oh well. They'll be the ones regretting their decision when every single showing of Amityville this weekend is sold out hours ahead of time, which will happen. They seem to forget that we also have two colleges within twenty miles of each other in this city, too.

Fever Pitch
5:00PM, 400 seats, 50% Full

I didn't make it in time for the trailers, unfortunately.

Movie
I liked Fever Pitch. A lot. I have a bit of a hatred of the game of baseball (it's the most overrated sport, and one of the most boringest, ever!). So, I didn't think I'd like Fever Pitch. While the baseball theme is present throughout the whole movie, I still somehow liked it. I don't know whether it was the certain chemistry between the cute Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon or not, but it just hit me. I think the ending was just about perfect. It not only put the Red Sox curse to an end (and in real life, too), but, well, you know romcoms. It wasn't hilarious by any means, yet I was laughing a lot. Mainly at Jimmy Fallon, who did a superb job in Fever Pitch. The role of a crazy, obsessed, Red Sox fanatic really suited him well, as did Drew Barrymore in her role. Overall I found Fever Pitch to be a "sweet" (ew, NEVER again) movie. B

It's always like that. My theaters are very small (the one I went to is an 8-screen theater), so when you go, you'll see a lot of people.

Amityville Horror
3:50 PM
4 ppl in a 255 seater (normal for this time of the day)

Trailer:

Into the Blue
Mindhunters (looks a little bit like Saw)

Movie:

This movie is not scary even a little bit. Forget R, they could have made this NC-17 and it still would have sucked.
Another weekend and another terrible horror movie. This will keep me away from horror movies for a while.

I was thinking of seeing Amityville out of desperation, but I'd probably hate it. Looks like this will be that rare weekend I don't see anything in theaters. Well, it's possible I'll catch Sin City again.
