A Quiet Place received a B+, Chappaquiddick a B. This will be a bad week for me. :P

A B for Blockers. Not very good at all.

I thought both AQP and specially Blockers will get a better score. Even Chap$#$%$% getting a B is surprising.

Didn't expect Chappaquiddick to do well. Looked boring as fuck. But I did expect A Quiet Place to do better. I guess it was all hype like they are most of the time. Blockers is lower than I thought, for sure. Then again, it doesn't look like a sophisticated comedy, so..

Some people hate the ending for A Quiet Place, which doesn't help. Plus horror audiences are so damn fickle. A B+ is good for a movie like this with minimal dialogue. Will be interesting to see the breakdown because I'm sure some demographic gave it an A.

Split and Don't Breathe also received B+ ratings and were super leggy. Also super leggy were The Ring, Insidious, and The Others. All of these received B's.

I went with A- for Miracle Season and again still surprised that it went so high.

Yeah from what I remember even Conjuring got a B+ as well. That is a very good grade for horror movie, my personal bias just went into my prediction.

It is a faith-based inspirational(?) movie.

Blockers might be too raunchy/naughty for some audiences. The premise might be too explicit or pandering to old stereotypes (teenagers being sex-hungry, parents being overprotective) for them. Actually I am very interested in how the film makes fun out of this.

Just that given the reviews I wasn't expecting the audience to enjoy it as much specially with the current taste of good faith based movies the audience have been served.

Yeah I agree about Blockers, might be too raunchy but then its R-rated as well.

Let's see if I can redeem myself after last week.

Rampage - A-
Truth or Dare - C+
Beirut - A-
Sgt. Stubby - A

No idea if Stubby will even be polled but should be well-received if it is.

Wow, you see audience embracing Rampage? Critics less than kind, with one suggesting it could be a Razzie candidate.

It sounds like a crowd-pleaser from everything I've heard. It will not get less than a B+.

Only CinemaScore so far is for Sgt. Stubby, which received an A.
