Post Help WOKJ's Christmas box office preview
We are planning on launching a new mainsite for WOKJ next week and would like to put up a Christmas box office preview.

What are your predictions for opening weekends and totals for Mary Poppins, Aquaman, Bumblebee, Holmes and Watson etc.?

Who is actually going to write this? I would love to help.

Are you just trying to get an idea of what the site thinks as a whole?

I originally was going to write it but numbers wise was looking to see where people were at. Since then Jack Sparrow has also shown some interest in writing it

Would you be interested in doing an Oscar predictions article? (major category winners maybe)

Yeah just give advance notice I’ll have nothing to do after Thursday until school starts again at the end of January.

Do you have any idea how Christmas multipliers work? With those openings, Mary Poppins and Bumblebee gross way more than 200m and Aquaman should hit 300m.

Bumblebee is opening to like 25-30m but will close with over 100m.

Mary Poppins will open with 7m Wednesday, 4m Thursday, 10m Friday, 45m weekend, 8m Monday, 16m Tuesday for 80m opening week. Then Wednesday it will make 18m, Thursday 19m, Friday 22m, Saturday 22m, Sunday 17m for 178m by the end of its second week. Then New Year's Eve it will make 14m, then on New Years 18m for 210m by the start of 2019.

Aquaman will gross over 300m, but will have legs like the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit films and not be nearly as leggy as Mary Poppins. She will overtake him by Christmas day and never be behind him again
