Not bad, for MC2.

I have a feeling that Melinda and Melinda is going get a PTA of less than 15,000 this weekend.

Nice theater count for Miss. Congeniality 2. It still doesn't guarantee a $20M opening weekend, though, because it could easily follow the pattern of "unwanted sequels to open very low" movies (Analyze That, The Whole Ten Yards, etc.).

Also maybe the 2 comedies might take away from the other.

Should be interesting on the breakdown's

Men - probably guess who
Women - probably more towards MC

the older crowd - prob more towards MC

the black crowd - why I may be wrong that they will go to MC but I think they will rush to Guess Who

-------------

Note, I wish Michael Caine was in MC #2, that might have made me want to see it more.

Whoa. I was fairly sure the theater count was overestimated, but it was underestimated.

With the strong theater count and screens per theater, Guess Who should make over $20M.

Question: Why do you say you're such a horror fan, when you clearly seem to be much more into chick flicks? :???:

I'm wondering exactly how close #1 is going to be. I could seriously see Guess Who and Miss Congeniality 2 being seperated by under a million.

Isn't one being released tomorrow (MC2) and the other on Friday?

Yeah, but I think MC2 might be strong enough that it will be even with Guess Who over the weekend.

Yep, and that should tilt the 3-day gross in Guess Who's favor. Should still be close though.

You're such a fangirl.

I guess it's very possible , but I also think it will need good WOM in that first weekend to do it.

Emmm cause i can like more than one genre...

Horror is my favourite...but i like the odd chick flick (Mean Girls).

Infact...last year, MEAN GIRLS was the only chick flick i enjoyed.

I think Guess Who will win by a much bigger amount.

Goldie is still confident on the above comment.

There will be no question on which of these 2 movies will be the big winner.

And FYI, Friday will probably produce such a lop-sided difference that it will be over on Friday night.
