Just a little under what i expected for the ring 2, but that Robots number is way lower than i thought. Bad numbers all round really.

Ewww...bad, bad, bad number for Ring Two...still better than BKB's predictions though!

Before all the inevitable "The Ring Two is a huge flop! BKB was right! My world is ending!" comments, *please* remember it will still open with over $40M, which is a huge opening for March.

Aww man... why did Ice Princess have to go and do poorly? :(

My $11.5 prediction for Ice Princess in the games is looking badly now.

And an even huger opening for a horror film thats done itself no favours with a campaign that practically wiped out the Samara character from existence inspite of her role in the film.

Good for my predictions with "The Ring 2"; but vastly dissapointing for Ice Princess - not great for anything actually.

If the Ring Two had been held till October and marketed with TONNES MORE OF SAMARA then it probobly would have done $50-60m+ easily.

Robots -45.4%
The Pacifier -26.9% (nice)

Diary of a Mad Black Woman -55.6%

I'm not sure if it'll reach $40...that is, if what I think of, actually happens. Drop on saturday. But even so, I think that's a pretty good opening...should be anything over $30m good for it.

15 million is a good opening for The Ring Two. i'm glad it'll make its way to more than 40 million by this weekend.

I agree with the october release. it would have done 55-60 million plus easily with good drops leading to halloween week. it looks like it's going to do around 45 million if it doesnt drop on saturday. I think all those 60 million plus predictions in march were very high though.

If it drops tomorrow, it won't even cross $40m.

A 10% drop and then a 35% drop would give it $38.46m.

Still, it'll cross $100m.

THE RING 2 did solid but disappointing. It will make no less than 45 Million this weekend though.

ICE PRINCESS did terrible! I should have stuck with my original 9.8 Million prediction instead of raising it to 13.1 Million. At least it would have been closer!

ICE PRINCESS should still do 8-9 Million for the weekend and have decent legs.

MILLION DOLLAR BABY held great! It dropped only $200,000 from last weekend! Phew! It will have a much smaller drop than the previous weekend.

Here's what I predicted for each of this weekend's new movies:

THE RING 2

Friday - 19.5 Million
Saturday - 23.3 Million
Sunday - 14.2 Million

Total - 57 Million

ICE PRINCESS

Friday - 4.2 Million
Saturday - 5.2 Million
Sunday - 3.7 Million

Total - 13.1 Million

if it follows that formula then it's a sure sign that relasing this in march was a very bad mistake. for such an anticipated seuqel. if the grudge made 38 million in october than the ring 2 easily could have done 55 plus million in cotober.

THE RING 2 won't drop on Saturday since it debuted smaller than expected and it appeals to all age groups for the most part, including adults, who usually go to the movies on Saturday rather than Friday. It will definitely increase on Saturday. Movies don't tend to drop on Saturdays anymore as much as they used to.

This would have done killer business in October. I wish it had been released in October because it would have been fun to see in the fall and around Halloween. Scary movies are best then.

Yeah, but nowhere near the $50-60 million that some crackheads were claiming last night.

From Scott's report, I guess they must have done $2-3 million of that at their theatre alone! :)

And that's by no means bad for Robots' second weekend. Probably will end up having less than a 40% dropoff since kids/family movies always do more on Saturdays/Sundays after opening weekend. I'd say $21 to 23 million for the weekend on that one.

The crappy Grudge took some of The Ring 2 's thunder away and a plethora of crappy horror movies since then pretty much limited its potential. Even if WOM is mixed the opening day box office should not have been affected.

This will get a little over $40M. Probably this will become the first movie not to get to $100M after a $40m opening.

Underwhelming numbers.

My projections:
1. The Ring Two - $39 million
2. Robots - $20.5 million
3. The Pacifier - $12.3 million
4. Ice Princess - $6.5 million
5. Hitch - $6.4 million
6. Hostage - $5.7 million
7. Be Cool - $5.2 million
8. Million Dollar Baby - $3.8 million
9. Diary of a Mad Black Woman - $2.3 million
10. Constantine - $2.2 million

Uh-oh, I'm out of the duels game I think. ](*,)

Am i the only one who's happy with the ring 2's opening ? I mean if you compare it to any other horror released in the last 2 years except the grudge, you'l see that this opening is great. It will double Boogeyman's opening, outgross Alien vs Predator, and make more than Constantine [ which also was very anticipated and cost a LOT more to make ] by at least 10 million. I predicted 45.6 but i'm not disappointed at all.
