Could MDB beat Aviator at the BO?

Maybe but probably not I am not sure M$B will make $100

Aviator will probably settle around 103

MDB should start loosing theatres next week since its PTA is now at around 2300. It could still beat Aviator but I am not sure.

It's interesting that Robots PTA is smaller than The Pacifier's PTA. Looks like it wasn't as popular, and was only helped by the theater count. It would have done a little over $30 million with less theaters.

I think Robots, Cursed, Hostage, and Constantine's weekend actuals will all be lower.

PEACE, Mike ;)

MDB needs to reach $100 mil first and MDB will have trouble reaching that milestone.

Hmmm....

This finally proves it. There are certain things that don't appeal to kids too much

 I'm super smart.

If only Passion had performed like this during its original release....

LOL @ The Passion. It only added 270 thousand to its measly 370 million U.S. gross. What a failure. LOL!

Passion has the same story almost as the perfect storm.
Cause I remember hearing that perfect storm got reissued on 2 screens in early 2001, and only had a 50 pta!

Fargo made 548 pta on its reissuie in early 97, and that had best pic nom buzz!

I think Hostage's weekend multiplier was as strong as it was because the audience for it was very old, most above 30. Also, the WOM seems very good on this one.

The Passion's rerelease reminds of how Kinsey did when it was suddenly expanded after its nice limited run.

I'm surprised with Hostage. It looks like Bruce Willis isn't that big of a box office poison.

Horrible for Passion Recut. Although its weekend multiplier was strong. (it increased on Sat. & Sun.)

I just find it insanely funny that in 950+ theaters it couldn't pull what an average of 10 theaters did opening weekend.

How is a $9.8 mil opening proof that Bruce Willis is not box office poison? Hostage could end up with $25-30 mil and start disappearing from theaters in two weeks.

Because people expected $6-7 million, and it's only in 2,000 theaters.

Zing, that is lame. This guy used to be a box office draw in the past. For god's sake he made Die Hard, two very successful sequels, Armageddon, Sixth Sense, Unbreakable.

Now he is making movies that gross less than $25M. He has become Van Damme.

His movies might not be making that much, but I wouldn't consider him box office poison. The movies he's been in lately aren't blockbusters. The last big movie he was in was, what? Unbreakable? That doesn't make him poison. It's the movies.
