Million Dollar Baby, The Aviator, and Sideways are all projected to drop around 55% on Sunday. Don't know why Cursed is projected to drop that high also, and I think its actual will be higher. |

Is it just me or did Diary of a Mad Black Woman just come out of NOWHERE!!!!!!! I barely saw any ads for it, as minimal as you can get for tv spots.... I was looking for it to gross around $7 million for the whole weekend. they sure know how to market this kind of ethnic fare. Cangrats to them! Hitch is doing incredible. $150m is now a lock. Who thinks it can make it to $200 million?? I know it's a stretch but hey a few more weekends of 30-40% drops and it's just about guaranteed $175-180 million. Constantine dropped harder than I thought. It had decent word of mouth. Overall, I think this turned out to be quite an impressive weekend! Go M$B!!!!! IF it wins Best Picture, I see it passing $85 million |

Million Dollar Baby continues to be the most impressive of the Oscar bunch! After it's much deserved victory tonight, the others will slip away into obscurity, but M$B will remain a timeless classic. |

I wonder why Cursed did so bad, considering Boogeyman nearly doubled its opening weekend. Was this the straw that broke the camel's back? I just think it was all in the premise. Cursed had been done before, many times. Others, like White Noise, Hide and Seek, and Boogeyman had interesting premises. |

I think that Diary is way overest. its sunday drop is only 24% while all others are in the 40-50%. I see Hitch coming out on top. |

I'm pretty sure the studio purposely overestimated so it will be an even bigger story as the No. 1 film of the weekend, even if it's just for a day until the actuals are out. If it has been estimated properly with a 40% Sunday drop, it would have a $21.3M weekend, and the top spot is too close to call. |

Cursed's sunday drop is a bit steep. Should finish with around $28m-$30m. Production budget $38M. |

Damn, i can´t believe what i´m seeing. Months ago, i was totally sure that Cursed will be a hit (even, Scream numbers), but then stupid Dimension started to f**k the movie. Re-shoots, cuts to adapt it to Pg-13. I still had hope, but now... ](*,) I must wait (maybe till April) to see the movie in Spain. It´s really so bad? (i don´t want to read spoiled reviews) Or it´s just that people don´t want to go to see the movie? 
I hope we could see the Director´s Cut in the DVD. Any news about that? What does Wes think? |

Great for Diary! check out this quote from Lions Gate: According to Lions Gate, exit polls indicated that 96 percent of moviegoers rated the film very good or excellent, while 94 percent said they would definitely recommend it. The core audience was black women over 25, but the film played equally well to all demographics, the studio said.
