Looked it up and found

Quote:
The project sounds like an interesting one, not to mention a huge undertaking. Like the musical, it would follow characters over two decades. Linklater, who has ample experience working with actors over many years, is said to intend to shoot it over an extended time period.

The musical -- itself based on George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart's play of the same name -- centers on Franklin Shepard, a Broadway musical composer who left his friends and songwriting ambitions behind to produce Hollywood movies. It moves backward, showing the moments and decisions that altered his path. In order to capture the many years the story covers, Linklater will shoot in reverse chronological order, Collider's sources say.

Yep, he's topping himself with a 20 year project. As Flava posted, it's a Sondheim musical that starts with the character at middle age and then goes backwards, so the stuff he films 20 years from now will be the start of the movie I believe. Beanie Feldstein, Ben Platt are starring, it was supposed to be Blake Jenner but he essentially just got outed as a wife beater by Melissa Benoist so hopefully he gets fired

They should really move A Quiet Place II up a couple weeks to March 13th. Friday the 13th usually works great for a genre movie and then this would have like two weekends with no competition.

By the time the King’s Man comes out in September it’s going to feel like the trailer came out 2 years ago

Hamilton should finally give October a $100M opening.

This will... not happen. It’s the musical filmed, now an “actual” movie adaptation.

Will be interested to see how well it does. So many of us have not seen Hamilton for all the hooplah so even the musical filmed is appealing. It also apparently was filmed in 2016 and has LMM which helps. They really need to get moving on the real movie adaptation cause it will be huge in every way and probably get like 14 Oscar nominations

Well that’s dumb why not just make the movie?

Hamilton won’t make 100m total let alone OW. Not as it stands now.

I think a full-on adaptation, starring LMM, released in Oscar season, would be a lock for $300M, probably more. Every loves Hamilton. And for people like me, who aren’t about to shell out $500 for a play, it’d be a must-see as well. This lazy recording gimmick is neither and I hope it bombs.
