I hope Jamie Lee Curtis gets a big cut...

If Jamie Lee Curtis' agent is worth his salt then she should be getting a back end % of the revenue or profits. Without her this wouldn't be doing nearly as well as it is.

Their poor animators working for peanuts with all that crazy overtime...same for VFX artists.

THR:
$23m GREEN BOOK

Post subject:  Re: Production Budgets

Feels very high for Green Book. No wonder they are promoting the fuck out of it. They need it to catch on and become an awards favourite.

That puts Instant Family in borderline flop territory. Poor Rose Byrne. So close to being a legit A list actress, but she never quite manages to break through.

Based on audience reaction, this could definitely leg out a respectable gross.

Yeah but studios don't like those leggy hits because they get much less of the returns. Isn't that how it still works?

Variety:

$100m Robin Hood

LOL Robin Hood will fail so badly. And Creed II will be the opposite....a resounding financial success.

Robin Hood must have doubled as a money-laundering scheme. ;) The budget is not on the screen at all.

Aquaman:

$160m DLH

Post subject:  Re: Production Budgets

There's just no-way with those effects Aquaman could have cost less than 200m I think, then again I guess CGI water is cheaper than real water and it must have saved a lot on the cast compared to other superhero films of late.

Poppins cost $130m according to Deadline... wtf. Sure doesn't look that expensive.
