Re: Production Budgets
Ouch. Greatest Showman and Downsizing are not going to make what they need to make. Certainly not domestically. With help from overseas they should be ok though but barely.

Re: Production Budgets
Good to see that they didn't increase the budget for Freed.
Peter Rabbit's budget looks fine but overall the movie looks cheaper than $50m.

$30m 15:17 to Paris Did real people ask a lot of money to star in the film? The movie also looks DTV cheap specially with the training shots.

Re: Production Budgets
I am kind of surprised by that. It shows insane confidence by the studio. But just looking at the trailers...it doesn't feel like a "$200m" flick. Anyway, it should make that back from the US alone.

$200M Black Panther Pretty standard blockbuster budget. Should be profitable enough for the studios. I know these movies are making $700m+ WW but after shooting so many of these movies can the production be slightly cheaper? Though I guess Disney is happy in throwing cash to get them out faster and make tons of money WW.

The budget would have been $150m, but Disney had to pay off all the critics!

Re: Production Budgets
I think best case scenario for Red Sparrow now is $25m/$85m.
JLaw really shot herself in the foot by overdoing the 'I'm so relatable' persona and her grand political comments. Shame, because she could have really been a proper box office draw.

Re: Production Budgets
She still may become a proper box office draw. It just takes time. Nobody is a legit box office draw by 27 years old. Hollywood shot her in the foot more than she did by forcing her to run before she could walk.
