Wow at that budget for A Monster Calls. It's definitely going to be considered a flop domestically and the OS numbers don't look that great so far either. Good budgets for Hidden Figures and Underworld though.

That's hefty for Live By Night, especially since it doesn't seem to be hitting the ground running in terms of awards buzz. Silence will also struggle to make a profit. Bye Bye Man and Patriot's Day should be fine. Well, the first certainly will be, but the latter may struggle since it's also not really making waves critically.

Paramount wrote it off back in September. They knew they had a clunker.

$5m for Split? Damn. It will probably be profitable after day 1. LOL. Everyone must've taken really small paychecks. Maybe they're missing a 0 after that 5?

xXx 3 LOL. Who greenlights these movies?

Split's micro budget is because of Shyamalan's deal with Universal, The Visit was the same. The studio must have not wanted to risk it considering his last few films, but still recognized his potential as a storyteller, so they forced him to forego the large scale high concept blockbuster thriller type films he had been making since Signs and instead rely exclusively on a strong character-based script, which is arguably what has brought him back from creative bankruptcy. If Split makes a lot of money his next film will probably have a much higher budget.

The Visit though is on the high end for the most found footage films that are usually in lower single digits. And doesn't have a single big acting name unlike Split. Split definitely has a much more impressive budget than The Visit,.

Apparently M. Night financed Split himself. He could use those profits to finance, I dunno, an Unbreakable sequel.

To me that actually seems kind of high for Rings. Based on the trailers I thought it was something like $10M at the most, but $25M is a bit of a surprise. It still might make a profit though. Not too surprising for The Space Between Us considering it does involve some special effects, however it's going to be a flop.

It's a bit lower than I thought. THE RING TWO cost $60m.

Fist Fight-20m
The Great Wall-150m
A Cure for Wellness-40m

Im shocked by A Cure For Wellness, why would they spend that much money on a horror/thriller? Irresponsible spending. Fist Fight is fine, and The Great Wall is a special case since it's getting most of it's revenue from overseas.

If it wasn't for The Great Wall already making loads overseas, that budget would make it look like a potential bomb. It's not in a great position, but if it can manage $60m from the US, then other markets should just push it over into break-even territory.
