Good for POTC5. Yeah Hasselholf's name surely helped that opening for Baywatch.

It's not Hasselhoff folks, Germans just love stupid comedies - DIRTY GRANDPA had 1.34m admissions last year...

The marketplace is rather empty, so competition is not the problem, it's always the weather...
Hot, sunny weekends are the enemy...
Right now I think POTC5 is heading towards 2.5m admissions. A couple of rainy weekends could push it to blockbuster status (3m), but a couple of sunny weekends could make it miss 2.5m...

Here you'll find the German release schedule: http://www.insidekino.com/DStarts/DStartplan.htm

WONDER WOMAN opens 13 % below MAN OF STEEL...

Don't expect a huge opening of TRANSFORMERS this weekend, as the weather forecasts see the 4th sunny & hot weekend in a row...

Not bad for WW. Transformers should see big drop in most OS markets IMO.

But this is admissions, and 2011 was two years after the 3D boom started.

It was still the first TF movie after the 3D boom that's what I remember though yeah not sure why admissions increased though a good answer would be sunny weather ;)

DM3 delivers the 3rd biggest opening of the year and is way up compared to DM1 (+95 %) and DM2 (+63 %) and only barely behind MINIONS (-9 %)

Should become the biggest movie of the year in a couple of weeks (but kicked out of the spot by November or December)
