The marketplace is rather empty, so competition is not the problem, it's always the weather... Hot, sunny weekends are the enemy... Right now I think POTC5 is heading towards 2.5m admissions. A couple of rainy weekends could push it to blockbuster status (3m), but a couple of sunny weekends could make it miss 2.5m... It was still the first TF movie after the 3D boom that's what I remember though yeah not sure why admissions increased though a good answer would be sunny weather |
