I knew it would do this good. The month of October has nothing else for kids, so what will they do? Watch a movie that looks like Nemo. :P

It is a holiday in both U.S. and Canada. Most schools had Monday off for Columbus Day, so the family films generally do well. I expect Friday Night Lights to hold well, but I'd wait until Tuesday's number before comparing it with Ladder 49 and some other films in the database.

The meaning for the huge numbers is Columbus Day not Thanksgiving in Canada. (starts USA chant)

It's gonna keep doing great business til The Polar Express and The Incredibles come out. Those two look like there's actual quality in em.

I'd say about $172 million. It'll have $150 million by the time The Incredibles comes out, and it should be able to make $20 million more after that.

I'd give ST about 175m. Following this past weekend my calculations showed that if it maintained the same legs it would reach 166.5m. However, that did not take into account holidays such as yesterday, and right there that takes it to 170m. Now, I expect the film's legs to improve over the course of its run as with most films. I would expect about 10m more as a result of this, however, the Incredibles will hurt it come November. Still, by that time it will have earned most of it gross, and I believe it should still make its way to 175m.

Right after The Incredibles there is The Polar Express. So both of those movies will hurt ST.
