There has been a trend with the big horror movies this year.

WHITE NOISE and HIDE AND SEEK were both smash hit's with $24M and $22M openings.

With BOOGEYMAN next weekend, then CONSTANTINE and then CURSED all one week after the other, which one do you think will break the trend of horrors opening over $20M?

Right now i'm thinking BOOGEYMAN and CURSED.

Although, both are now rated PG13.

I think that if any movie has to break the trend, it'll be Cursed. The problem is that the trailer for Cursed looks good, but the dogs in the movie look too CGI. Unrealistic. People may think that's funny instead of scary.

However, I doubt anything will break the trend for now. With low competition until May, I think horror is going to be big.

Boogeyman has that straight to video feel about it. I could of swore it would of belonged in the Blockbuster video shelf

Now I know basing your prediction based on what people talk about in your school is a horrible idea, but it is the reason I predicted high on The Forgotten, White Noise, and Hide and Seek, and had one of the highest predictions on all of them.

Boogeyman is already something people in my school are planning to see this weekend, before Sunday. With the PG-13, nothing is stopping them from seeing it. It's got a creepy trailer to it too, so I think it'll be another horror hit.

After mucking about on the BOOGEYMAN website, i rekon it can open over $20M now, but anything over $15M is a HIT.

Also, now CURSED is PG13, and the whole CRAVEN/WILLIAMSON thing. Plus all the media attention. Im pretty confident that it can open over $20M aswell.

I didn't realise AMITYVILLE HORROR was over a month after THE RING TWO, this is good news. I rekon AMITVYILLE can pass $70M.

I think Boogey man will open in the teens ... not a bad opening .. just not 20+.

As for horror movies ... I saw a really trailer with jennifer connaly ... what is that?

If it's not Boogeyman, it'll be Cursed, which I don't see doing over 11.

Cursed will probably be a big opener if they can capitalise on Scream.

Id say Boogeyman - Superbowl weekend - it should open to about $12m
