Pretty good for Blade: Trinity. The less it makes on the weekdays, the more for the weekend. I didn't expect over $7 million anyways, so I think it's pretty damn good. Almost a $2000 PTA, so I'm hoping the weekend PTA will be over atleast $8000. ![]() |

Decent for Blade. I'm guessing this points to about a $22M weekend. |

Very good for Blade. I thought it wouldn't make more than 4 million on a busy wednesday. Exceeded my expectation. Heck its going to do more than 22 million for the weekend |

I was using White Chicks to compare, and my info on that was wrong. After some revision, Blade looks more likely to get about $24-25M. |

Im thinking just slightly more than that number. Remember that White Chicks was released in the summer where kids are off from school and its PG-13 which means non companying adult. Blades number looks good for a movie thats released in a school day and when most young adults are at work or in college |

Right in the middle of the range predicted by Yahoo reviews. ![]() I was originally expecting more, but I suppose this isn't exactly like The Matix Revolutions or LOTR. It should increase well into the weekend as awarness is likely not all that high of the Wednesday release. |

This is how I see the rest of the weekend for Blade: Trinity. Thursday: $4.9 million (-10%) Friday: $8.5 million (+75%) Saturday: $10.2 million (+20%) Sunday: $6.1 million (-40%) Weekend: $24.5 million 5-day Weekend: $35.2 million That's more of a low side to my predictions. It's more likely to increase more than 75% on Friday, but I'm going to say for now that it is more frontloaded on Wed/Thurs, but then actually increase on Saturday. Either that, or it'll increase 100%+, maybe somewhere in the 130-150% range, and drop about 10% on Saturday. |

The Polar Express is out of this world. At first, it had a good opening, but far below people's expectations. It was once called a "disapointment", but now, it's about to pass $100 million tomorrow, and on it's way to over $130 million, which is over a 5x multiplier. Simply incredible. Also, it takes the #2 spot yesterday, though it's probably because of Blade: Trinity hurting National Treasure. The fact that The Polar Express is making double what The Incredibles is during the weekdays is almost too shocking to comprehend. A great hit for 2004. |

I've had two friends who are moms of little kids now tell me how they loved the Polar Express, so despite crticial reviews my sense is that it is hitting its target audience. |

I'm lost for hyperpoles and words for the daily performance of The Polar Express. It's just too amazing. How did it get to increase on Wednesday, when traditionally movies fell already without any new competition, and even a new $5.5M opening can't take any audience away from it? I way overpredicted Closer, and stupid derby deadline prevented me from changing late last night. :x At least my $1.9M prediction for Alexander looks OK. |

hmmm why is everyone going gaga over TPE??? ![]() hmm. let's see, christmas is still around the corner and people are in the holiday spirit and it's the only good holiday movie out there. yeah, just as shocking as The Passion having a good increase during Holy Week. Don't you guys get it: christians are predictable!! ![]() |

That made no sense. What does a Christian being insane (which by the way is not entirely true) have to do with The Polar Express having a spectacular run? |
