What film will be #1 this weekend?
I think we have an interesting situation this weekend, with 5 different movies having a chance at the #1 position.
Christmas with the Kranks is an obvious choice, Tim Allen is a hit with Christmas movies, and Jaimee Lee Curtis is in it as well. But with bad reviews, and strong competition, can it really be #1?
Alexander has a slim chance, but is a big epic war movie with an excellent cast. But, it has been receiving bad press lately and some people will not agree with the bisexual parts.
National Treasure was #1 last weekend, and was generally well-received. Could this be the next Pirates? Or will it fall like a rock?
The Spongebob Squarepants Movie was a close second last weekend, surprising some and disappointing others. This has a diverse audience and could pull a low drop, or be slightly frontloaded with its large fanbase.
The Incredibles has a slim shot, but if the other openers fail and the holdovers drop harder, the Incredibles could regain the #1 position.

Kranks seems like the most likely #1, but Treasure, Spongebob and Incredibles all have shots at grabbing it.
Alexander has no chance whatsoever.

I don't feel that great about Kranks. Certainly not Alexander. I'd go with National Treasure.

I still hope Spongebob can take the weekend but it'll probably go to Incredibles. It's gonna be real close.

National Treasure and The Incredibles will duke it out between each other. At the moment I have National Treasure pegged at $26 million and The Incredibles at $25.3 million, but I might change it later.

For this opening weekend, I don't think the bad reviews will hurt the Kranks and they should win this weekend. Maybe if the Incredibles wasn't out for so long, they would have a better choice.
