I'm not really anticipating watching it, but I see grand potential in it.

I think it could be the no-one saw it coming movie of the winter. Even the Pacifier made 110 mil. A family movie with mr nice guy struggling with 18 kids, while trying to stick with his wife, and so on. For families-Oh hell yes. It appeals in a grand way. And its got a nice release spot in the holidays at the end of November, with Harry Potter's second weekend, Walk the Line expanding, and opening with Ice Harvest and Just Friends which both are due to do just alright numbers.

I'll write more later on why this seemingly lame movie will do well, I can tell you it will though.

EDIT-Heh that poster is great. To us it screams lame, but it does get the point across. I mean how can you deny that Dennis Quaid expression?

I think it looks like utter crap, but it'll do well, even with Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

$20 million opening, $70 million total.

That would be a performance like Christmas With the Kranks, and I don't think Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo have nearly the sort of drawing power Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis do.

I don't see this film faring especially well, with all the family movies in the mix and the sequel to a movie that this looks totallt similiar to coming out a month later.
