Ok here goes, listen up carefully because I travelled to January 2006 and looked at the year end Box Office lists and this is what I saw:
Elektra will open to $30m but fall short of $100m
The Ring Two will open to a record $57.9m and finish just over $160m
Robots will be strong and make its way to $145m
War of the Worlds is being underestimated - when the dust settles $385m will have been earned in the US alone with another $650m overseas.
Star Wars ROTS will improve on AOTC - earning $370m as everyone has been waiting for the rise of Darth Vader.
Madagascar will earn over $200m and be the highest grossing animated film of the year.
Batman Begins will have a strong following but will fall short of $180m.
The Fantastic Four will do decent numbers against War of the Worlds and make $125m
Dukes of Hazzard will scrape by $100m
Stealth will bomb.
Into the Blue will be the sleeper hit of the summer with $120m
Sin City will make no more than $50m but will be one of the years best films.
Harry Potter 4 will make just over $260m making it the franchises second biggest film
The Lion, Witch and The Wardrobe will cruise past $200m
King Kong will be the event film of Christmas and go above $230m.
The New World will make a respectable $55m
The Producers will do Chicago numbers
The Excorism of Emily Rose will be the surprise horror hit of the year - earning $110m
Duece Bigelow will open north of $35m
Mike Judges year 3000 comedy will be the best comdey of the year but fail to reach$60m
February will stink as the weakest month of the year - but still produce two $100m hits - Hitch and Constantine. Nothing else will come close that month.
In Her Shoes will be a sleeper for Diaz in April.
Hidalgo numbers for Sahara.
XXX2 will do solidly with $85m
Kingdom of Heaven will fail to reach $100m and be beaten by Monster In Law.
January will be strong with expanding films from 2004 - The Aviator, Million Dollar Baby, Sideways, In Good company, Phantom of the Opera will all be strong - 2 of which surpass $100m.
House of Wax will surprise with $70m
Add the Longest Yard to Sandlers list of $100m grossers
The Island will be a huge hit getting close to $150m
30. Doom will open to over $40m and make a heartbreaking $95m
31. Be Cool will make almost exactly as much as Get Shorty did.

A new gutsy prediction:
xXx: State of the Union will have a great opening of $47.9 million, but legs will come crashing down, and FAST! It will have a multiplier of 2.1 and make $102.5 million total.

I'd go with a 2.3x multiplier, similar to Van Helsing.

Yeah, I'm thinking it'll have a run along the lines with Van Helsing or 2 Fast 2 Furious. 50 millionish opening weekend, 120 million total
