CURSED is the only horror movie this year to increase on it's first Tuesday...

White Noise: -5.6%
Hide and Seek: -8.2%
Boogeyman: -19.7%

Could it's weekend drop actually be less than 60% ?

This is interesting.....

Welcome to Mooseport
Weekend 1: $6,775,132
Monday: $386,379 (-76.5%)
Tuesday: $421,182 (+9%)
Wednesday: $352,572 (-16.3%)
Thurdsday: $324,834 (-7.9%)
Friday: $1,002,725 (+208.7%)
Weekend 2: $3,279,764 (-51.6%)

Man of the House
Weekend 1: $8,917,251
Monday: $383,500 (-81%)
Tuesday: $427,519 (+11.5%)
Weekend 2: ??

Pretty similar, eh? If the pattern continues, Man of the House would drop over 50% even if it had a bigger Friday increase than Mooseport.

Diary does not have bad WOM. It's a proven fact that urban movies tend to be frontloaded to an extent. I still wouldn't be surprised if it dropped 40% or less this weekend though, the people coming out of it when I saw Are We There Yet? were saying it was the best movie they'd ever seen and totally lifechanging. And let's not forget that the cast will be on Oprah Friday, that'll definitely help.
