Other horrors with a chance at $20M+ opening:

RING TWO...Lock.
AMITYVILLE HORROR...impressive trailer, great reactions, R rating in a slew of PG13.
HOUSE OF WAX...great trailer reactions. big release date. competition dead. R rating, in PG13 market.
DARK WATER...spectacular cast, trailer perhaps with RING TWO. Japanese horror remake.

For what is coming up....

Be Cool and The Pacifier both have decent chances but I think only one of them will do it. then there's the off chance that neither will do it cuz they'll take a bit from each other (like 17 and 18 or 14 and 18)


the Following weekend, I think Robots has a great chance!

March 18th: Ring 2 is a lock

March 25th: I'd be iffy on Miss Cong2 but because it doesn't have almost any competition in its genre and the first did do extremely well, it looks to have a more than decent chance

And then April 1st....
Beauty Shop doesn't seem to have that great a shot, plus opening on a Wdnesday kills it.
Sin City would really have to break out and with no big competition it might, but we need a little more assurance like great promos and awesome trailer/reaction.


So I think by April 3rd, we'll have about 10, 9 minimum.

In march, agreed ROBOTS, THE RING TWO and MISS CONGENIALITY will break $20M.

Either BE COOL or PACIFIER will break it, or both will.

One or both.

Not sure about SIN CITY and BEAUTY SHOP....if you ask me they both have potential...I see more like $13,000,000 being realstic for Beauty Shop.
