I find it amazing that Dune 2 has only been passed by three films so far, and they were all expected to pass it. $300m isn't that high of a gross these days yet most films still struggle to get there.

I don't think Sonic will get there or beat Dune 2. Mufasa, hmm, not sure either but I guess generally it is expected to emulate - at least in part - The Lion King's $500m gross. Joker should beat it and get to $300m, so Dune could realistically end the year in 5th place, though most probably sixth. And I suppose in that eventuality it feels about where one might expect to see a $282m grosser.
