Re: Will Parasite be Neon's biggest movie? NEON finally has a hit movie and then they blow 17.5 Million on Palm Springs at Sundance. They're friggin' INSANE. I love their films usually but they're going to make themselves go bankrupt eventually which would be a shame.

Re: Will Parasite be Neon's biggest movie? Wow, I should feel more shocked. I guess part of me expected it. I thought though that the Oscars would make the boring choice. It was a lot to ask for a foreign film to be nominated for so many awards. I thought it was too much to ask for a win. At least for once I agree with the academy that the BP winner is a great movie.
So, 50m?

Re: Will Parasite be Neon's biggest movie? Yeah 1917 seemed like the obvious BP win, but I love the fact that it was this, although that director win should have been a clear giveaway. It should be interesting to see how much this will boost it's overall BO, but I hope it makes to at least $50M domestic eventhough as I have said before it deserves so much more.

Re: Will Parasite be Neon's biggest movie? A lot of best picture winners with 35m are not necessarily that mainstream. Parasite is, it’s just in a foreign language. Perhaps the best picture win can overcome that barrier.

Was so ecstatic it won both Director and Picture.

Was so ecstatic it won both Director and Picture. Yeah, I questioned the early digital/Blu-Ray release, but who knows maybe that added accessibility played a part in its victory.
