Top 10 time 10. Katy Perry - Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) (Aug. 27-Sept. 3 2011, 2 weeks) My favorite of her Teenage Dream #1s, Last Friday Night is as catchy as imaginable, and even has time for a cool sax part. The way the exploits escalade until she casually mentions she also had a menage a trois is hilarious. |

Woof Shackster. But I will forgive you since I know Red-era is your favorite. I think #1 overall will be Not Afraid. |

9. Sia feat. Sean Paul - Cheap Thrills (Aug 6-27 2016, 4 weeks) I like the message for this song and shows the real reason people go out to have fun. The "I love Cheap Thrills" chorus adds to the song and Sean Paul's addition somehow works perfectly |

8. Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth - See You Again (Apr 25-May 30 and June 13-July 18 2015, 12 weeks) A great emotional rap song about brotherhood/family, and works whether you picture it as about either an alive person and passage of time or a dead person you'll see again one day. Charlie Puth really crushes his verses. |

7. Adele - Someone Like You (Sept 17 and Oct-15-Nov 5 2011, 5 weeks) Adele at her best with her and her subject separated by time and memories, and a nice piano score. Some of her best lyrics as most of the words are memorable in their way. |

6. Gotye feat. Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know (April 28-June 16 2012, 8 weeks) One of the truest one hit wonders of this era (Came out of nowhere, disappeared after the face of the earth afterwards), I always enjoyed the instrumental vibe of this song and Gotye's vocal performance showing the subject's hurt mopeyness over the relationship is key. I also generally like songs where a male and female singer both sing. |

5. Taylor Swift - We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (Sept 1-18 and Sept 22 2012, 3 weeks) A very fun anthem to kick off one of her best era’s, with the snarky verses equally enjoyable. Even the phone call feels like an integral part of the song. As many times as she says never ever, subtly it feels like she might want to get back together. |

4. Bruno Mars - Grenade (Jan 8., Jan 22., and Feb 5.-12. 2011, 4 weeks) My favorite Bruno song by miles, what separates it is having an edge with its subject's desperation and anger. The imagery is great between catching a grenade, bullet to the brain, etc. The video with him pulling the piano is also terrific. |

3. P!nk feat. Nate Ruess - Just Give Me A Reason (Apr 27-May 11 2013, 4 weeks) Pink's best song, this is a beautiful relationship song about one that is going downhill and is in trouble, but maintains hope they can save it. Nate's verse is my favorite and the interplay between the two singers is great throughout the song. |

2. Eminem - Not Afraid (May 29-June 12 2010, 3 weeks) 1. Eminem feat. Rihanna - Love the Way You Lie (July 31-Sept. 11 2010, 8 weeks) Ultimately I decided the two Eminem #1s meant the most to me, his Recovery era was awesome and the end of his prime, like Lebron's last season on the Cavs before he goes to be washed on the Lakers. Both tremendous in their own ways, Not Afraid inspiring and personal (and admittedly overused by trailers) and Love the Way You Lie a fiery relationship song with Rihanna at her best as a feature artist showing her subject's intoxication in the relationship as well. It's close to a tie I went with the titanic Love the Way You Lie collab as number 1 |

Not bad zwacks, nice to see someone else who likes Grenade a lot. I thought All About That Bass would be more of a zwackerm song. We Found Love made it by far the farthest of 2010s songs in a #1s tournament on Awardswatch right now. I think it's good but I am surprised at how strong the passion for it is sometimes |

That's a pretty good top 15, all songs I pretty much enjoy too. The list finished better than it start which is how it should be. Ultimately it was more interesting than I expected to follow, curious to your updates at the end. Of all these though, there's just a few, maybe 5 I'd really love and are fond to remember, but mostly it just decent radio tunes only for me. In that regard it doesn't help I loved abroad without any real exposure to music updates for the last 10 years, so pretty much none if the songs came to me in the environment when they were the thing for a moment around me. |

Close! I figured you’d favor the more motivational workout track. Love The Way is definitely better though. |

I’m not gonna rank them, but even though I had Katy Perry ranked above them all, I’d still put Taylor at #1. Cause I like it like that. |

We Found Love is definitely a song that will be played at clubs forever. You can dance to it, sing to it, it’s romantic and good for weddings. Easily the best song by an EDM artist ever. Closer has grown on me so much since it was first popular. I used to hate it because it was overplayed, but it’s iconic now. |

I know you couldn’t have planned it, but it’s kinda cool that you gave Em the top two spots on the same day he stealth releases his new album. |
