Drake is right in the sweet spot of appealing to the mumble rap crowd and the pop crowd equally. It’s the perfect position to be in as an artist in 2018. Post Malone has taken advantage of this spot too. Though I’m not sure why he’s embraced by either crowd. |

Drake and Post Malone dominating music is a sad state of affairs. I blame Drake for mumble rap, he raised a generation of rap fans that don't listen to the words and are mainly there for the beat |

Literally a year ago, over half the spotify charts was pop. Now its like less than a quarter. It's not just that mumble rap has become more popular, its that pop has become less popular. It seems the only pop artist left on par with Drake and Post Malone is Ed Sheeran. And who knows if that will last when subtract comes out? |
