"Gonna Die Alone" isn't bad but I more just enjoyed reliving the experience of watching Filth. "I Don't Believe in God" is meh. |

I am not the most avid R&B/soul listener, but I seriously dig this new artist, Khalid. His debut LP, American Teen, came out a few days ago. I would say he is between the experimentation of Frank Ocean and the traditionalism of Leon Bridges on the genre's contemporary spectrum. |

But anyway Khalid sounds a bit generic modern R&B for me but I admit to find the Young, Dumb & Broke catchy (I would also not call Ocean's music as experimentational when you have the likes of FKA twigs, Janelle, Esperanza in the genre that really push it with sounds, concepts and visuals). But if you like this check out: It's a bit more traditional R&B/Pop, but we rarely have stuff like this these days so it actually sounds refreshing. |

I don't wanna post videos since he gets enough exposure as is. "Eraser" , "Galway Girl" and "Dive" are all terrific additions to go along with the singles Ed Sheeran already released. |

I can't find an official video on YT, only random uploads that are bound to get removed so I won't put them here, but I'm kind of in love with TLC's new single Way Back. I respect they decided to keep classic 90's r'n'b/hip-hop sound in line with their most famous work instead of trying to fit in with the current musical trends. In return the song feels rather fresh and new in 2017. Also lyrically I think it hits the target with multiple arrows - it's about rekindling old memories with a good old friend and it can also be a shout-out to all the old TLC fans listening to this song and enjoying it. And I respect they never tried to replace Lisa with a new member, but use already established rap artists for rap parts. |
