She gets no promo that’s part of it. But her fan base just could never transfer to streaming.

Even then, the single didn't even go top 10 on iTunes either, which is relatively easy for a new release from someone as high profile as Katy Perry. Just strange.

Taylor Swift has nothing to do with Katy’s decline. Katy had already disappointed with Birthday and This Is How We Do before 1989 even came out.

Popular Music completely changed between 2015 and 2017 to a more hip hop oriented sound that outside of Dark Horse, Katy has failed to navigate successfully.

Taylor AND Kanye are releasing new albums. Not sure how or why this is happening but it has given the July music scene and much needed boost.

Excellent reviews for the Killers album. Not too surprising after Brandon said: "after listening to Vampire Weekend's Father of the Bride we knew we couldn't continue on our current path." Still good to know they came through in the execution and I'm very excited to hear the results tomorrow night.
