Re: BabyMetal I'm surprised they're getting international exposure like this, especially in the U.S.. Japanese acts almost never find success outside of their home country.
They're pretty popular in Japan (their latest album recently sold almost 150,000 copies in its first week, debuting at #2), and they've been playing at metal festivals and major arenas (Wembley just last week) throughout Europe for a couple years now. Their latest album also saw solid/strong debuts in Germany and France, too, and set a record for highest debut for a Japanese band in the U.K.
Their music is catchy and they put a lot of work into their performances, so good for them.
