Race to 3 million? According to the kworb site according to the formula they use for average per day, Despacito would get there in around 25 days to 33 for See You Again. But See You Again got a boost today from usual 2-3 mil to 6 mil based on the news it broke the record. Still, one would think that will wear off quickly so Despacito should beat it |

"Despacito" has only been on YouTube for seven months. "See You Again" has been around for two years and three months. |

Would be the first to even get 2 Billion views within 12 months I think. |

What is it about the Despacito video that's adding appeal? It's not just people listening to the song, it's not even or barely #1 anymore on Radio, Spotify or Itunes but is still DESECRATING the daily youtube charts |

I think the fact something is the most watched vid. adds more views by default as it comes up in more watched lists. |

Taylor smashed the lyric video and vevo opening day records. I'm not sure if it beat psy's gentleman, but it's certainly the biggest since. Swish swish also had a big start. Although lwymmd's lyric video was beating it (until the music video) even though swish swish had a head start by almost a day. |

So, I'm guessing LWYMMD will be having a week of at least 200M views... Its already at 54.3M. So, where does everyone think this will land on the chart for all time by the end of this year? |

If it gets to 70m today it might have the staying power to reach 2 billion by the end of the year. Hello had over a billion in 3 months after a weaker start. If it holds like Bad Blood it could get 1.5b. It will probably be frontloaded. |

It will post a high total but catching Despacito one day will be tough which is still posting hundred million weeks to pad its cushion |

It has no chance at Despacito. It won't hold as well. Despacito is going to get such an absurd total. Lwymmd was down like 45% today. It will get 1-1.5b by the end of the year but may have a tough time ever reaching 3 or 4 billion. |
