I was gonna start a summer jamz thread almost a month ago, but I wanted some contenders to pop up first. I'm still waiting... This has been my summer jam thus far, and I suppose it has a small chance of crossing over. The chorus is infectious. |

Yeah, "Hypnotic" is a good song, but mainly just the chorus. I hope it's not ruined (overplayed) by being the song of the summer. I have never heard of Zella Day. I feel like I'm 50 years old already. "Cheerleader" has no chance, sorry. It's not only a crap song, but it's also not catchy. It's just irritating (even on the first play). The song of the summer only becomes annoying after months of radio play. "Lean On" is the perfect candidate. It's funky and cool, but it clearly has a very limited shelf life (like, a summer)...then people will be cringing at why they thought it was good. I'm liking it right now, but I know I will hate it if I hear it in 2016. There's your winner. |

Lean On is kinda old already. Don't think it will spread into summer. Cheerleader and Hypnotic don't sound like songs of the summer at all. Cheerleader is atrociously bad. |

"Bad Blood" has potential, but it alone will never be the song of the summer. Maybe a remix will be, though. I would go for "Lean On". That "..Mother Fucker" song is just too obvious, though it does have a summer sound to it. |
