Shallow really exceeded my expectations.

Can maybe have a long run if radio picks it up.

Unless we get a big debut from Rihanna, Adele, Justin Bieber or Kendrick Lamar, it will. The four songs ahead of it are all gonna lose steam fast while Shallow is still growing in radio and streaming, and most likely sales as well.

I can't get enough of Shallow since seeing the movie

Shallow works well in the movie, but on its own its not that great. Instead of Ally flexing her vocal muscles for the first time in front of a crowd, the bridge just sounds like Lady Gaga being annoying.

“Always Remember Us This Way” is much better. As is “Black Eyes”.

This week:
1. Maroon 5 feat. Cardi B “Girls Like You” (flat)
2. Kodak Black feat. Travis Scott and Offset "Zeze" (debut)
3. Juice Wrld “Lucid Dreams” (down)
4. Post Malone "Better Now" (down)
5. Bad Bunny feat. Drake "MIA" (debut)
6. Marshmello and Bastille "Happier" (up)
7. Travis Scott “Sicko Mode” (down)
8. Lil Baby and Gunna "Drip Harder" (down)
9. 5 Seconds of Summer "Youngblood" (down)
10. Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper "Shallow" (down)

I wonder why Shallow fell so hard considering it gained in streaming and radio. I guess sales were down more than I thought.

Girls Like You is having a pretty long #1 run considering it was in 2nd place forever

It’s breaking records but I don’t really like the song. Just about everything on Sweetener is better. But I get why it is so hot eight now and am glad Ariana will finally get a #1.

It’s better than every non single track. I like the song, I just wish it was BIGGER sounding. It’s awfully low key compared to her other songs that came close.

It's cute but I still like No More Tears Left To Cry WAY more than everything else from this era. It does feel like Ariana the person is one of the most likeable celebrities these days. I would like to see her in some movie roles

After her performance on A wicked Halloween I would love her as Elphaba in Wicked.

I bet All I Want For Christmas can hit a higher peak this year. Maybe eventually it will hit number 1. Ironic it never has considering it’s by far more relevant than any of her 18 number ones.

Thank U Next is starting to fall precipitously in streaming and sales. Maybe Happier has a chance to hit number 1 before Without Me.

High Hopes is the best song Panic has made since their first album in 2005 so good for them.

I didn’t really like Without Me when it first debuted, but now it is kinda great. And its awesome that Halsey has become one of the most consitent pop stars in the business.

Hope that Your Song can hit the top ten this week with the release of Rita’s album. Not hitting the top ten: anything from Kanye’s new album. Because it didn’t come out... again.

Rita isn’t popular in the US. She’s not hitting the top 10 lol.
