Taylor is only gonna be #1 for two weeks. Either Sam Smith or Logic will knock her off.

This week:

1. Taylor Swift "Look What You Made Me Do" (flat)
2. Cardi B "Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)" (up)
3. Luis Fonsi feat. Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber, "Despacito" (down)
4. Taylor Swift "...Ready For It?" (debut)
5. Logic feat. Alessia Cara and Khalid "1-800-273-8255" (up)
6. DJ Khaled feat. Rihanna and Bryson Tiller, "Wild Thoughts" (down)
7. Charlie Puth "Attention" (down)
8. Imagine Dragons "Believer" (down)
9. French Montana feat. Swae Lee "Unforgettable" (down)
10. Shawn Mendes "There's Nothing Holding Me Back" (down)

If Cardi B hits number 1 fuck that    . Cool debut for Taylor considering it's not a single yet.

Sam Smith should hit top 5 next week. Zayn's streaming numbers are weak but he could hit top 10.

RFI debuted higher than I thought it would... still sucks.

Did Younger Now by Mikey Cyrus flop completely? Shame cuz it's a great song.

Nice entry for Sam Smith. Hopefully the bottom songs will start dropping out soon.

rockstar will be number 1 on both Spotify and ITunes. But its doing poorly on YT, and probably in terms of airplay as well. So it will hit top 5. But where is the question.

We are officially living in the twilight zone. The worst rap song ever written is now number 1.

This week:
1. Cardi B "Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)" (up)
2. Post Malone feat. 21 Savage "Rockstar (debut)
3. Taylor Swift "Look What You Made Me Do" (down)
4. Logic feat. Alessia Cara and Khalid "1-800-273-8255" (down)
5. Luis Fonsi feat. Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber, "Despacito" (down)
6. French Montana feat. Swae Lee "Unforgettable" (up)
7. Imagine Dragons "Believer" (up)
8. Yo Gotti feat. Nicki Minaj "Rake It Up" (up)
9. Charlie Puth "Attention" (down)
10. Portugal, The Man "Feel It Still" (up)

I'm happy Feel It Still made top 10, but not happy two more rap songs entered the top 10. I miss when there were all real songs in the top 10.

Taylor just went on discount and should continue to rise in airplay and is now creaming Post Malone and Cardi in sales, so she should retake number 1 next week.

Malibu did alright. Younger Now flopped, which is a shame because it's one of her best songs.

10. Demi Lovato "Sorry Not Sorry" (up)

Demi's song rocks, so happy for her. Feel It Still is also a great new top 10 staple.

Unforgettable, Rake It Up, Rockstar and Bodak Yellow suck so much and need to GTFO of the top 10.

This week:
1. Cardi B "Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)" (flat)
2. Post Malone feat. 21 Savage "Rockstar (flat)
3. J Balvin and Willy William feat. Beyonce "Mi Gente" (up)
4. Logic feat. Alessia Cara and Khalid "1-800-273-8255" (flat)
5. Taylor Swift "Look What You Made Me Do" (down)
6. Portugal, The Man "Feel It Still" (up)
7. Imagine Dragons "Thunder" (up)
8. Demi Lovato "Sorry Not Sorry" (up)
9. Luis Fonsi feat. Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber, "Despacito" (down)
10. French Montana feat. Swae Lee "Unforgettable" (down)

Glad for Demi again. Biggest peak ever for her.
Also like Feel it Still
Unforgettable and Despacito bye!
Thunder is alright, but definitely not nearly as good as Believer.
Sad Taylor is falling instead of Cardi B and Post Malone. They suck. At least Logic is staying high.
That Mi Gente song is so obnoxious and annoying.

So Cardi B has entered history as the longest running #1 for a solo female rapper.

I have no idea what's appealing about "Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)" or Cardi B in general.

I'm clueless about that too, but whatever it is it's an impressive feat. Nicki must be fuming. :funny:

Bodak Yellow's target audience has no taste, that's the appeal.

Good news. Cardi B is no longer number 1. Bad news. Post Malone, the dullest artist ever with the dullest song ever is now number 1.

Tired of this top 10. Want to see What About Us, Perfect, Havana, What Lovers Do, New Rules, Dusk Till Dawn, Love So Soft and Bad At Love in the top 10. Only really good songs in the top 10 are Sorry Not Sorry and Feel It Still. I'm tired of 1-800, LWYMMD, and Unforgettable too.

Pink sold 370-380k her first week. Seems huge

Author:  _axiom [ Wed Oct 18, 2017 10:27 am ]
Post subject:  Re: Billboard chart discussion thread

It is. But there's a HUGE possibility she might also get the biggest second week drop ever as a large number of those sales are concert ticket bundles that she will have only for the first week of sales. Don't know why they won't keep selling them for as long as they can.

Pretty impressive she beat Katy for the year so far. But Taylor will mutilate her in a few weeks.

That makes her the top selling female album of 2017 already. If not for Taylor, she might even have a shot at passing Ed Sheeran for the yearly #1.

Pink's continued success after nearly twenty years is remarkable. Her album sales are incredibly consistent.

Not surprising, given her talent, but surprising considering the status of her contemporaries, and how short-lived most artists are in today's market.

She never gets old, that’s why. Rihanna and Maroon 5 are also remarkable in this way.

Yay for 8/10 pop songs of which only one sucks (Mi Gente). Yay for Havana, it looks like it has the best chance to hit number 1 over Feel It Still and Thunder. Awesome for Ed Sheeran, should rise more, but won’t hit number 1 sadly.
