This week:

1. Luis Fonsi feat. Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber, "Despacito" (flat)
2. DJ Khaled feat. Rihanna and Bryson Tiller, "Wild Thoughts" (flat)
3. French Montana feat. Swae Lee "Unforgettable" (up)
4. Bruno Mars, "That's What I Like" (down)
5. Imagine Dragons "Believer" (flat)
6. DJ Khaled feat. Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper, Quavo and Lil Wayne, "I'm the One" (down)
7. Charlie Puth "Attention" (up)
8. Shawn Mendes "There's Nothing Holding Me Back" (flat)
9. Ed Sheeran, "Shape of You" (down)
10. Sam Hunt "Body Like a Back Road" (flat)

Shape of You is on its way out. What is the record for weeks in the top 10?

At least there's no crappy rap songs in the top 10.

One of the big fall albums will debut a single at #1 sometime this month. Despicito will probably be in top ten till the end of the year though.

What About Us has been #1 at iTunes since Thursday. Could it unseat Despacito?

DJ Khaled and Rihanna Wild Thoughts is a serious threat to stop Despacito from breaking the record

Now Bieber is releasing a new single on 8/18. Despacito is gonna have to earn it!

Who listens to trash like this Bodak Yellow song?

The Itunes list is so much better than this horrible list.

God the American music scene is a shithole. Why can't Strip That Down, Slow Hands, Feels, Praying or What About Us be in the top 10 instead of the same songs from 4 months ago or new crappy rap songs that pop up for a few weeks and tumble down the charts?

Will Taylor Swift reverse the trend of female popstars disappointing? Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Lorde, Katy Perry, Pink and Kesha have made me skeptical that female popstars have what it takes to hit top 10 or even 20 regularly.

So it looks like Taylor has a chance to debut atop the charts despite only 3 1/2 days of data.

Looks like 1-800-273-8255 is getting a big boost from the VMAs. Hope it can hit top 10 eventually. Good song even with Logics cringey virtue signaling speech at the end

10. Yo Gotti feat. Nicki Minaj "Rake It Up" (up)

Is Swift not eligible for this week?

Another crappy rap song in the top 10, in addition to the other boring songs.

Despacito will be dethroned for most consecutive weeks by Taylor, only question is whether it can come back and get the non-consecutive #1s record. Probably not, Look What You Made Me Do has started off just too huge

So how do you tell if a song is a flop or not? It seems that singles get released months ahead of when they actually start being promoted. Castle on the Hill for example was released in January, but didn't hit top 40 again till a few months later.
Is Versace on the Floor going to be promoted more once That's What I Like falls down the charts? Or is it truly a disappointment for Mars?

Today is the end of the Despacito era. Good luck Taylor!

LWYMMD is still doing so well that I have to think it's gone beyond pure buzz and people are into the song. It's left a lot of us in the cold but maybe it was the perfect song to appeal to to the production driven mumble rap generation

9. Logic feat. Alessia Cara and Khalid "1-800-273-8255" (up)
10. Liam Payne feat. Quavo "Strip That Down"

3 good songs entering the top 10? Despacito not number 1? Only one rap song? Shape of You gone? Body Like a Back Road not reentering the top 10? Is this still 2017 :wub2: :wub2:

It felt like That's What I Like and Shape of You were in the top 10 for the entire year so far

"Shape of You" had been there since it entered the chart at the end of January, so it basically had been.

"Body Like a Back Road" has been #1 on the Hot Country songs for 31 weeks now. I don't really get why, it's not a good song (or even very country).

I don't care about that song, but Sam Hunt is hot.

I agree completely, but that doesn't really translate through his music.

1-800 is number 1 on spotify! Could Taylor's domination be short lived?

And will Ready For It hit the top 10 or even top 5 without radio airplay?
