Any chance you get try and get tickets. You'll not regret it. They tend to sing greatest hits too so its worth it.

That's what I thought originally but it has definitely grown on me. Its nowhere near Sam's Town or Hot Fuss but its a good album.

Lots of sweaty people jumping beside you, bumping into you, allowing you not to see much, not to hear the correct version of the song...is not my idea of enjoying music. For me, the atmosphere doesn't make up for the loss of musical-quality at a gig.

Sat at home playing the music, hearing every word, every rift, and relaxing - that's my idea of enjoying music.

I love live music, though I have softened a bit over the last few years. ;) Now if I am seeing, say, Arctic Monkeys, I am satisfied standing a bit away from the stage, just enjoying a beverage and the music versus being right up front with the hardcores. A lot of the acts I have seen lately, including Noel Gallagher and the Who, have drawn a fairly docile older crowd.

At club shows, I often get a complaining person (or persons) behind me because I am 6'4, particularly when I am close to the stage.

I don't think I will ever go to a concert.

But I really want to attend a Snooker tournament. Now that I'm in China, I think it's my best opportunity.

It really depends on what artist you're going to see.

I've seen both Britney and Evanescence and the difference was huge, two great concerts but totally different crowds and stuff.

Actually, I'd go to a gig, but only if the gig was jazz. There's something incredibly cool about jazz, and a white man that appreciates jazz.

Mau, can you tell me about your interest in Britney? How strong is it? Why do you like her? What are your favourite things (songs) about her? In regards to your avatar, why do you like her looking like that? When she released "Baby One More Time", I was a teenager and I fantasized over her for weeks. But her next one when she's in the red spandex, that put me right off of her. Which song was that? I know it was well known..

I remember being disappointed by Battle Born when it came out, but was listening to it again and realized how many good songs are on it. Runaways, Heart of a Girl, A Matter of Time, Be Still, Battle Born, Prize Fighter are really great/memorable and most of the other ones are good too. Think it was just too high expectations after Sam's Town and Day & Age. Anybody else put it closer to the other ones now?

Battle Born is fantastic. Especially when you hear the songs live. But I agree its still behind the other albums but certainly not far behind.

Lists...

Hot Fuss
Sam's Town
Day & Age
Battle Born

Sawdust is also pretty awesome though inconsistent.

The Killers
(warm-up acts: Jonathon, Vang Gogh & Teachers)
@EXIT Festival, Petrovaradinska tvrđava, Novi Sad (Serbia)

I can honestly say this was the best concert I've ever been to. Sure, The Killers are a band I grew up with and I personally think they have a flawless discography so far (and if The Man is any indication, their latest album will deliver for sure) but they even exceeded my highest expectations.

From the moment they stepped on the stage with the slow synth opening of The Man followed by a huge confetti explosion on the first big beat of the song they didn't stop being a first rate rock act and you could tell that Vegas showmanship is in their blood. Brandon is The Man, a great frontman and while I did watch their Live from the Royal Albert Hall a couple of times and watched him singing live on YT, hearing him in person was a revelation. His voice is sooooo fucking powerful. Damn. Everybody I know has heard me say at least once that Brandon was my man-crush back in high school (I had him as my avatar for a long time here too), but he might be my man-crush now forever :D.

The set list was a pure fan fantasy (if they played Tranquilize I'd probably die right there and then), they just went from one hit to the other with some fan favorite songs popping here and there. Even Shadowplay (which I find to be a rather anemic cover in its studio version) sounded huge. While Battle Born was an album you had to take a while to get into, Runaways (as expected) was immense live, but The Way It Was was a truly surprising beast of a song. I was kind of wishing they played at least a couple of more songs from Battle Born.

I don't think from now on I will miss any concert they might have nearby.

Good to see that you finally got to see them live.

They truly are one of the best bands/acts I've seen live and I've seen many over the years.
And agree - Battle Born is so much better live.

Did they play anything other than The Man off the new album?
