This might be her first lead single to fail to crack the top 10.

Pretty surprised that Wrecking Ball has been able to sustain its momentum this long. Royals will probably take over soon though with the album being released next week.

"Summertime Sadness" and "Safe and Sound" refuse to die, BJ likes.

I maintain that Wrecking Ball is by far Miley's best song ever, and can't wait till Royals reaches #1.

The three singles from Blackout represented Britney's best run, in my opinion, on a creative level.

That's what most of her fanbase (including me) say.

Blackout is a perfect pop album.

We have a new #1. "Royals" knocks "Wrecking Ball" off the top on the Hot 100. Youngest artist at #1 since Tiffany. Also, be afraid, be very afraid: "The Fox" has entered the top 10.

1. Lorde, "Royals" (up)
2. Katy Perry, "Roar" (flat)
3. Miley Cyrus, "Wrecking Ball" (down)
4. Drake feat. Majid Jordan, "Hold On, We're Going Home" (up)
5. Avicii, "Wake Me Up" (down)
6. Jay-Z feat. Justin Timberlake, "Holy Grail" (flat)
7. Robin Thicke feat T.I. & Pharrell, "Blurred Lines" (down)
8. Ylvis, "The Fox" (up)
9. Lady Gaga, "Applause" (down)
10. Lana Del Rey, "Summertime Sadness" (down)

I wonder if Pearl Jam will score their fifth number-one album with Lightning Bolt.

I would love to see Paul McCartney hit number one with New considering how strong an album it is. But considering he hasn't topped the chart since 1982, I suspect a debut at second or third is in store.

I have yet to hear it on the radio.

And I rarely hear Berzerk.

It's a stupid equation. I mean, I get that they factor in youtube now... but it holds too much weight.

Wrecking Ball would have hit #1 soon enough. It's on all the time now.

I just find it hilarious Billboard implemented the streaming rule right after Gangnam Style blew up. Imagine the number of weeks at #1 it would have racked up...

Is anybody else surprised at how well Holy Grail is holding up?

Beserk would have gone #1 if it had a full week of youtube views under its plate. And yeah youtube can be manipulated by the same crazy people watching the video over and over, but it's better than letting Clear Channel decide what is popular and what is not.
