I'm sure none of us can stand mosquitoes. I'm usually suggesting that hey let's GMO them so they die off since we can apparently GMO everything else for the "better". Well, that was the idea here. Short story, they gmo'd some mosquitoes so that their offspring would die instantly and that appeared to work for a while but now the population is even greater than before. The article suggests the wild non gmo females somehow realized mating with the gmo'd males was a bad idea. Ugh, why can't we defeat mosquitoes, ticks and fleas. Those three things I want eliminated.
