I probably will have already booked my flights by the time I get a decent amount of answers in here, but anyway, then I'll find out afterwards whether I've made the right decision or not.

I'd say are you insane of course Miami. But you couldn't have picked a worse time with Hurricane season coming up.

I swear, it hurts my brain how many people don't know how to travel for vacation.

Why Montreal or Miami? Id skip it and check out San Francisco instead. Miami is for the beaches, and beach season is pretty much dead now. It has no appealing landmarks, and the food is good but not great. The Nightlife is probably third to NY and LA if that's your scene, but there is a great chance you'll have to be inside if the weather is bad.

Yep. Anyone who travels south (Houston to the Carolina’s) starting September 1 to the first week in November is taking a risk. And anyone taking a cruise during this time is just fucking stupid. The best time to go is after Thanksgiving until late February, unless you like mugginess, then it’s during the months I didn’t mention.

That seems...odd. But at least you get to see both, so yay?

So Miami is coming as a clear winner out of the poll now.

As a bit more context to my trip, I wish I was only going for vacation (getting back to Thegun's comment), but I'm traveling for work meeting with a customer in Montreal on Friday and with another one in Miami on Monday.

So my thoughts were whether to fly to Miami on either Saturday or Sunday or perhaps even Monday morning. Now I'm flying early Sunday morning eventually.

So you were going to both regardless of the poll. I feel cheated.

Right, but where I would spend my leisure time was undefined at the time of making the poll.

And still what I'd really want to know is, what can I do and what's recommend to do when having a day each in Montreal and Miami now.

Haven't been to Miami but Montreal is a cool city. I guess it depends what you like doing?

I like going to the cinema, and probably do some shopping and taste some great food.
Also I don't like cold weather, but I'm not a fan of the beach.
