I read something earlier that said it was heroin she was taking, but that did not cause the overdose. The drug to get her off heroin did. lol. That's the problem with addicts. They are addicts, and they get addicted to stuff whether it's heroin or drugs given to them to get hem off bad drugs. Too much of any drug is bad, so they are doomed.

Imagine for a second she had died, where would it have ranked on the scale of shocking celebrity deaths? I am not really too sure how big she is. She has only really risen to prominence since I've been in China and we're kind of closed off here to western pop music. Would it have been as shocking as Michael Jackson or Heath Ledger, or more in line with Tupac and Chris Cornell?

No it would not have been on the same level as MJ or Prince. Don't be cute.

I'd say a Heath Ledger and his only became more prominent since he ended up getting nominated and winning an Oscar. I'd say she would have been Brad Renfro level.

The most shocking of this decade for sure. Most of the other surprise deaths/suicides were at least by people over 50. Demi, at 25 and one of the biggest pop stars in the world, is more akin to Heath Ledger and even Kurt Cobain before.

Also, suboxone (the withdrawal drug) is used for all opioid addictions. I’m still going with pills.

Two wrestlers died. Nikola Volkoff was 70. Grandmaster Sexay, who is also Jerry Lawlers son, killed himself in jail at 46. :(

Ehhh..... she's done well but not that well. She's not really a household name the way people like Katy Perry or Miley are. But it would have been a big deal, for sure.

Sad also to hear that he didn't get to film his scenes in QT's next film. They were scheduled to shoot in late September.
