Post Are you an introvert or extrovert?
I am very much an extrovert. While I can deal with being alone, I usually start to go crazy after even just a few hours without social interaction. It gets especially bad on weekends and nights when I sometimes am unable to make plans. I don't see how I could ever be happy living without a family or a roommate.

Introverts, how do you do it?

INTJ--if you buy Myers Briggs. I like people but prefer to rely on myself and don't need people around constantly to be happy. In social settings I can get by ok but unlike extroverts, I am not exhausted when it is over. More of a "meh."

Definitely introvert, to the point where you can create a 3rd category a level beyond introvert called loner. I was raised in emotionally abusive situation and I never recovered socially from that initial baseline of interaction being full of fear and not openness

I was once diagnosed with schizoid and avoidant traits.............I guess that makes me an introvert per default. At least in real life.

I admit that I abuse the internet to life out my childish rest parts I still have.

Introvert. But I'm not uncomfortable being social anymore.

I doubt too many really extroverted folks will spend time on forum. The fundamental trait of extroverts is to be with others. That is how they get their energy.

^ Agreed mostly introverts would be spending time on forum. I like to spend time alone and would start a conversation with a stranger out of necessity or work. For me its more like phases where I was introvert as a child, became extrovert during college and bachelor years but after marriage I have gone back to become introvert.

Just because someone is an introvert doesn't mean they are reclusive virgins with zero social skills that have never been to a party. I am more introverted than extroverted but I have no problems at all in social situations.

Extrovert. However, I can be quiet in a group because I'm not that good at small talk. It's not because of being shy or anything. I regularly speak in front of groups and otherwise perform. Give me an audience, and I'm happy.

More of an introvert but again like others here very comfortable in all social situations. I find it easy starting conversations and making friends with strangers in most settings and don't like awkward silences so tend to ensure that doesn't happen by taking control of the situation.

Definitely introvert. Basically why I quit high school. To avoid having to talk to other kids or speak in front of a class.

I used to be very extrovert as a child, but since 6th grade my introvert self creeped in that I would consider myself more intro than extro now. When needed I can tap into being more extroverted if the situation requires it though. I guess basically I wouldn't put myself in a box and I'm somewhere in the middle of these two (ambivert) ever since I'm an adult.

I have very few issues with social interaction, absolutely none with people I'm familiar with, but I'm definitely an introvert. The main aspect of that is just having a very low battery when it comes to social interaction; I'm fine doing it, but I don't enjoy doing it very long whereas a lot of people I know just keep on going.

Extroverts can be annoying. I'm perfectly fine on my own, but some of my extrovert friends seem to make it their mission to involve me in everything and stop me from spending time on my own. They don't seem to get that whereas they have a drive to be around other people, I often have the drive not to.

Want to trade friends? That sounds awesome.
