I don't care for Comey but the firing is ill timed and ill considered. Obama should have fired him in July. Trump and his White House staff are a bunch of fucking idiots.

Not sure how it is an abuse of power. He has the power to fire Comey. I don't disagree that it was stupid and ill timed and makes it look suspicious but not sure of the abuse of power part.

So... Trump fired Comey, who is investigating his campaign's ties to Russia, based on the recommendation of Sessions who recused himself in March from any FBI investigation into the Trump campaign.

Sure, the White House is saying Comey's termination has nothing to do with the Russia investigation (despite Trump directing talking about it in his termination letter to Comey...), yeah. Trump would have fired him shortly after assuming office if it was truly about the handling of Clinton's email investigation.

All of this is a little beyond "suspicious" at this point. The puzzle is coming along, and Trump is putting it all together himself.

They're still investigating. Why does it matter if it's Comey who does it?

If they find something they'll find something and if they won't, they won't. I wouldn't get my hopes up, as it's been 7 months and they've found nothing.

If he has the right to share that information with Russia I don't see the problem. Basically it shows that Trump sees Russia as an ally and not adversary but that's been obvious for a while
