I do support gays, for the record. I have gay friends. I don't mean to hate. People have the right to do what they want, I won't hold them to a standard.

By this logic, kids movies shouldn't have heterosexual pairings either, like all the Disney Princess movies that have been made, minus Brave.

If a f/f or m/m kiss would make a kid think about sexual orientation, then so too would a f/m kiss. My niece was acting out kisses with her Disney Princess figures at age 3-4. Her first Disney Princess movie was Princess and the Frog, and she was constantly having her Tiana and Naveen figures kissing.

Didn't Disney just have a black heroine in one of their cartoons less than ten years ago? Yeah, they aren't going to be progressive enough for this one just yet.

I do believe this would be a great decision though. I really think that a lot of issues felt by the LGBT community would dry up if they were more properly and prominently represented in media. Assholes will always be assholes, but assholes feel empowered to bully groups of people because they know they can get away with it as virtually everything dictates they're in the majority, even if they're not. Just look at film and television. Gay characters are so rarely the lead roles, especially in mainstream film. It's predominantly in supporting roles. And I don't believe showing two men or two women kissing is as progressive as people want it to be. All it does is say "Woo, victory for us! Take that, racist homophobic sexist assholes!". There should be more relationships developed to show that, hey, if two people love each other, why does it matter if they're both dudes or both chicks?

I think they're just going to have to keep Elsa single. I feel like this character is a lesbian but obviously they can't give the character a girlfriend because they would lose a bunch of money. But it would feel kind of forced to give her a male love interest. Just make her asexual and not interested in any sex.

But you have no problem with there being heterosexual relationships in these films. Anna is pretty boy crazy. Wouldn't this make kids think about this stuff?
