I was working today when my friend who is straight came through my line with flowers. I asked him who they were for and he said the girlfriends name because she was in a play. I did not know who he was referring to, so I asked "is she your girlfriend?" because I knew he had one that I'd never met. He looked around before whispering "yes". I was quite surprised he was ashamed to talk about his girlfriend in public considering he's straight as an arrow and talks about it all the time. He was out of the closet for awhile, but his parents and friends accept him now that he's back to Hetero City. Are any of you ashamed to talk about your heterosexuality in public or refer to your significant other as your girlfriend? |
