Who is voting today? Why/Why not? I'm not voting, not because I don't want to, but because I just moved and don't have anything to show I live where I live. Oh well. |

Bad Midterm for the Democrats. Looks like Landrieu may lose in Louisiana, too, unless the last few votes from East Baton Rouge puts her over. Why are there two Republicans on the ticket in that race anyway? |

If the Republicans win the Presidency, and keep control of the House/Senate... I will be moving. That's not even a threat. It's going to happen. |

Chippy wrote: Honestly though... These next 2 years could be the worst in American history. Yes because the years Republicans held everything were terrible. ![]() I voted for him. And I believe Obama's election will without doubt go down as the epitome (and hopefully, culmination) of American stupidity. It reflects a nation so spoiled, so entitled, and so disillusioned it opted to weigh the personal life FAR more than the professional life for an individual targeting the most important job on Earth. To say Barack Obama has proven beyond unprepared, unqualified, and generally incompetent is sadly an understatement and again, I voted for him twice and was thrilled when he was in 2008. In hindsight, both McCain and Romney would have likely been far more positively effective President's than Obama. The US public basically hired a former intern turned 2 year associate for the CEO position. Good god. In hindsight everybody was fucking stupid. If there is any position on Earth which should be decided by resume only, it's the Presidency of the United States, and it was largely ignored that. And in typical Liberal fashion, they cry all of his haters are racist when the reality they have zero respect for him because he has very few true accomplishments or achievements to his name while the record of failures or misfires is enormous. He seems like a good enough dude but professionally he is a total embarrassment. For as cringe worthy as Romney is personally, his outlook and thought process make him extremely qualified for most jobs. Obama could not have been less qualified. It really says a lot about him & his judgement that Barack thought he was ready and qualified to be President in 2008. He had no idea what he was doing. Master of acting like he knew what he was doing and riding the coattails of some far more senior and experienced cabinet members, but on his own? In all honesty, probably one of the worst Presidents in history. I did not think it could get worse from Bush, but...at some point, hopefully people figure out that harming employers harms employees far more than helping employers harms employees. Hopefully they figure out that matching anti business policies while creating a pseudo welfare state which deprives people of ambition and gives them an incentive to be lazy is a terrible setting. All these $15 an hour minimum wage stuff is anti capitalist and if this country had possessed that outlook over the past 250 years, you can cut our progress in half at best. Reward good decisions and punish bad decisions. It is what it is. "If you're not liberal when you're young, you have no heart. If you're not conservative in your 40s, you have no brain". |
