Re: Top 5 Condiments
Not wrong.
Go up to any random person on the street and ask them what their favorite condiment is and if you get more than 20% of people that list salt/pepper as a condiment, I would be amazed.

I find that you can never go wrong with Hidden Valley but I have ran into a couple local variants that are better. Hidden Valley is best. I've never really had much local ranch to really say if it's better. Also, fuck "light" Ranch. Only pussies go for that. And ketchup + ranch is indeed delicious. Though mayo + ketchup is better. mayo + ketchup + pickles = thousand island.

Re: Top 5 Condiments
Hollandaise sauce is pretty good but its uses are extremely limited and therefore maybe it is not a condiment. Similar to gravy or au jus not being a condiment. Plus I have never saw it packaged.
Horseradish is great but without prime rib, one would never eat it.

Re: Top 5 Condiments
As far as sauces or dips go, I pretty much only use hot sauces of various sorts. The hotter the better. I sometimes use Ketchup or Ranch. Curry Paste is alright, too.
I often include peppers (habaneros, jalapenos, cayenne, others) with most of my meals, though.

Re: Top 5 Condiments
If you look up the word condiment from the term condimentum, literally it means spice. So, condiment and spice is the same shit. So yeah, salt is a spice AND a condiment.

Everything is made with spices.
Everything is apparently a condiment.
