No kidding aside, I worked as a portfolio manager for a good deal of time & still dabble in my personal investments. The past week or two have been brutal to the stock market, and frankly, I am anticipating it getting worse. heads up. |

The returns of last year were not normal, the market is due for a correction, and it could be sizable. I don't think that should surprise anyone. I wouldn't be surprised, or even worried, if February matched the declines in January. It's healthy, corrections are normal, the market should return to it's upward trend when it's done. Most of us are playing the long game, corrections like this are nothing more than a chance to buy at a momentary discount. |

Yeah there will be some downfall but I don't think it'll be drastic enough to effect the stock market much longer than say 3-4 months. A little fear, but not much. |

They didn't fix any of the fundamental problems, just pumped in short term relief like post tech bubble. Big mess coming sometime in the next few years. Interest rates going up which had to eventually happen, fucks up everything |

Snowball effect on the down end is always more potent than on the upswing. The comical thing will be that this is all on Democrats and the only folks who will benefit from coming declines are folks who already have money. If you're like me, hoard your funds so that in a few years when the housing market is at 2008 levels, you can buy and hold mass land. |

They say when values are but volume's are down, a shit storm is coming. The economic recovery is false anyways. The only reason Unemployment rate has gone down is because the Employment has fallen to 40 year lows. |

Let's just put it this way. Expect gains in the market this year to be sub 4%, potentially negative. Stay the hell away from emerging markets. If you really are worried, sit the year out and re-evaluate next year. |

Just when everyone thinks a correction is normal, a dead cat bounce may be coming. |

It's probably my fault, I upped my 401k contribution last week, I think it rattled the market. |

This looks real. A major market correction is starting. But for the moment, panic selling should take a breather for a few sessions. |

Interest rate increases are promised, and the Fed is not making a sufficient commitment. I follow the metals market, and every week that there is an expected Fed minutes, the market drops. Everybody's trying to second-guess the announcement of an interest hike, and Janet Yellen is flaky. http://www.kitco.com/news/2015-08-24/Wh ... -Take.html |

There is way too much foreign money in American companies. General economic conditions are not not "crash" level but a major correction has been due for several years now. Trump and Icahn were literally just saying it weeks ago. |
