Some clues: - We had a total of 54 ballots in the end, the most since 2006, I believe. - As I mentioned before, some VERY close races in these awards. SEVERAL categories (minor and major) were won by ONE vote. - In the nine major categories (Picture/Director/Actor/Actress/Sup. Actor/Sup. Actress/Ensebmle/Screenplays) only 6 of a total of 47 nominees received less than five votes. Feel free to guess which. NONE of the 47 nominees received zero votes. |

- Each nominee in the categories Best Sound, Best Visual Effects and Best Costume Design got at least five votes, whereas one of the Best Song nominees didn't get a single vote. |

With 54 votes, you would need at minimum a 11 votes to win a 5-nominee category with ties and 9 to win a 6-nominee category (and that would require all 6 to receive 9 votes each). To show how close and competitive some of the races are, 12 votes are enough to win 3 categories, and 13 are enough to win 3 others. |
