I tell you what annoys me; people that are always hammering on about their "rights". As if it gives them a magical and invincible cloak. I wish these people would understand that the only right they have is to the law of physics and biology, and not wishy-washy assertions that another human has declared for them. If you come out on top because of this, then good. But if not, let it go. Your path will just be a more difficult one, and you'd better get started. No point arguing rights, because you're losing valuable time getting that head start that you'll need. |

I don't think this is a pet peeve of mine, but I just find it a bit odd thinking about it and I wonder where it came form: Why do you people say: "Oh, you're meeting with John, tell him I said hi." How did this greeting someone through someone else became a thing? |

It's a conversational aid, in my opinion. So when you do meet John, you can say "Oh by the way, Susie says hi"...."Oh wow, how is Susie? not seen her for years" ... "Susie's good. She's been promoted to Office Manager now" ... "wow, she's doing well for herself"... and so on and so forth. It also only usually happens when you haven't seen someone for a while. You don't do it with regular mates that you can just say hi to on Skype any day. |

Yeah, that sounds pretty true. I feel I find myself guilty of using it too, and I guess it's about making that other person know, "hey, im thinking about you". Still i find it a curious habit, and I also feel that people are sometimes asking like, "did he/ she say hi, when you mentioned me?", not sure, maybe im just imagining it whether people ever give this any thought or not. |

I rarely (like, 1 time out of 100) ever say hi to the person if I am asked to, even though I do say "okay" to when people ask me to say hi to people. I would say most "hi" requests stop right there. |

Isn't that verging on major peeve/problem with society? I'm no dog lover either. I hate the hair that comes with it and the smell. But I wouldn't call it a pet peeve. It's a lifestyle choice. |
