with the election comming up soon I figured I would ask a couple questions. I suport to no potital group and I havent decided which one I will suport when I turn 18. So what politlal group are you most suportive of? What is your reason(s) for suporting this group? |

Meh. I don't fully support any political party. My economical views lean towards Socialism, and my social views lean towards Green Party. So, i'm a big time Republican, in other words. |

Pretty centrist. Democrat or Republican, these days leaning Democrat since things are so out of balance, almost every major power center in the country now is Republican and I dont want to live in a one party state, it's too creepy. I despise third parties like libertarians, socialists, communists, greens, as they all are detached from reality. Libertarians and communists have about equal sense of how economics works, which is to say not much. |

I defend Bush only when I feel a defense is warranted ;-) I'm not a member of the Libertarian Party, but I share the ideology with them, especially on the economy. I agree, some of their ideas are nutty, but in general, their philosophy appeals to me. |

I think the question is kind of a backwards way of looking at politics. You should decide what issues are important to you, see where the various parties stand on those issues, and then decide whose side you are on (so to speak). I always vote for who I believe to be the best candidate whose positons on the issues are closest to mine. Mind you, 95% of the time, that's a Democrat, but I certainly have voted for and worked for Republicans. (Not so much lately, as the Republican party has seemed to kick out anyone who may be moderate)... |

In 1980, I worked for John Anderson (who actually ended up running as an independent) and recently I was a semi-campaign manager for a local judge who was running for election. I also voted for William Weld for governor of Massachusetts when I lived there, and on a local level have voted for Republicans more often. (For things like mayor and clerk of courts and such, it doesn't really matter what party you are or whether you are liberal or conservative, the issue is whether you can do the job.) |

I would say im in the middle. I care about people that have social and money problems etc but I also look for a strong and a good economy because you have always something to pay. When I was young I was pretty "green". But now I know that the world doesnt work so easy. e.g When you say "Stop" working in the rain forrest make some rules so noone is allowed to work there. Thats very unsocial because the people there need something to life from. Yeah thats life and its hard. |
