Now as for the aftermath of all this, I think he'll be fine. At this point, he has admitted to some degree of fault here and apologized and is trying to handle this inhouse. He'll eventually appear on camera about this and probably have quick short answers and be done with it. He may lose a few sponsors in the short term but long term he should be fine once he starts winning majors again.

A domestic violence charge does not require a willing victim. Most of the time a plea deal is worked out because the couple gets back together, but jury trials do happen from time to time with unwilling victims, and it's not that hard to get a conviction.

In a case like this, if Tiger's wife was charged, and she fought it, he could be called to the stand to testify whether he was willing to or not. The problem here is there isn't enough evidence to charge her.

And, I know I'm late to the discussion, but I said to members of my family right away this was domestic violence related, with an outside chance it was a faux suicide attempt for attention. Nothing added up... you don't go for a drive at 2:30 am on Thanksgiving, you don't get scratches on your face from an auto accident like that, and you generally don't run off the road hitting to fixed objects in front of your house without some other factors involved.
